Friends believe that the Light is accessible and within each of us. Thus, Friends make group decisions with faith in the united guidance of that devine Spirit. Some issues that develop at Meeting are difficult, complex and controversial. In seeking unity in the Spirit, a threshing meeting(s) may be called to share factual information, ask questions, and provide an opportunity for expression of all the individual differences. No decision is to be made at threshing meetings. The goal is to progress towards greater agreement through repeated self-examination and waiting upon the Light.
